Blog 9 Part 2

Animal welfare is something we should look after. Animal welfare is the well-being of animals. Animals should be treated equally until slaughter time. Now a days, animals are being mistreated in plenty parts of the country. Farm animals such as pigs, chickens, and cows are being isolated and jammed together in a factory. Personally, I believe this is a problem because no fresh oxygen is being provided toward these poor animals. Even though no fresh oxygen is accessible, these animals experience lack of food.

According to the sustainable table, the website for the film “The Meatrix” shows how animals are being mistreated. As a consumer that love to eat meat, I barley watch educational films that show how meat are being made. Animals are being more and more isolated from their natural land. In a research, animals were referred as units of production than living creatures. Animals would not have the comfort to turn around or to bend down to eat because they are all bunched up.

These farm factories are being very greedy with the productions from the animals. The owners of the industrial farms worry about their own production than the consumers that are eating the product. We can end up being sick because of the animal cruelty. Health problems play a role for these animals to die quick because they are being fed with unnatural diet. Animal cruelty plays a part when chickens go through a practice called “de-beaking”. Also, cow’s tails are cut of long with pigs to increase safety and more. Because of these painful performances, this causes stress, and discomfort.
