Hype.

Today´s  advertisements  are covering most of the world, they are very toxic and poisonic for the people. Since when  we start our day in the morning, they are ready to influence us. It´s enough just step out from the home and we can see them already on the buildings or on the bus, taxis. Ads are trying to affect us on every corner in every minute and disrupting are thoughts. Their main point is allure and grab us into their cobweb. The companies are spending huge amount of money to make most impressive ads. Approximated numbers of ads, for each day, is 12 billion, 3 million radio commercials and more 200,000 TV commercials only in North America. Just a fast question : how much money they must spend per day??!!

Let´s explain how these ads are working. There are some products which have a really impressive commercial, it´s alluring people to buy them, just because of good commercial. But in real, this product is overpriced. Why? Somebody need to pay for the ads. Thus we can say all these ads are misleading people about how high quality this product is. Most people think if the product is expensive then it must be good. People are hazy and brainwashed just because of the ads which is very effective on most population.  Even if we don't want to buy anything and don't need it, ads are effective, they make us to buy. We losing time, we losing money. I must say this big companies never give up. They are improving their technics very fast. Just an example, company called VIDEOCARTE installing screens on supermarkets carts. It´s the most dominant micromarketing medium today.

Also ads have very negative effects on a society and children. Moreover commercials have very dreadful effects on children, they are easy to  manipulate. They are naive and more open to believe. Every day they are affected with ads as we are, but for them is more dangerous and have more fatal consequences. I know just by myself, when I was child, the commercials had very strong effect on me. I was begging my parents to buy me a doll what I saw in the TV. And it start with watching an innocent cartoon, but it was interrupt by commercial. Also last Year I remember, I was on the beach, when I was watching the sky and relaxing, it didn't take a long and my relax was interrupt by the plane which has behind a big commercial. Today we more watching commercials then some movies. In a funny way I can say : " I´m watching peacefully commercials and BOMM,a movie interrupt my commercial again". It´s too much for us and it´s getting more massive and more annoying. How Kalle Lasn said : there is nowhere to run.

In conclusion I want to say that I´m absolutely agree with Kalle Lasn. Its really hard to get relax in the city where you are not interrupt by any ads. Moreover it´s no way how to stop this. Hopefully in the future, we will see more positive commercials which will propagate a good thoughts like instead of this drink, drink water, less sugar. This commercial would help to society and better healthier world.

Hello Lini Ex:

This post shows that you understand how to structure an argument and use evidence to support your ideas. Very good.

The main issues right now with this response are

1. You have changed the focus of Lasn's argument about "mental pollution" due to the abundance, persistence, and ubiquity of advertising to the price and content of advertising, as well as to its negative effects. By doing so, you are not really engaging with Lasn's piece, which is one of the requirements in the test. My recommendation, then, is that you annotate readings carefully to make sure you will engage them fully.

2. While it is correct to place your claim in the end of the paper, I suggest you practice placing at the beginning, either at the end of the introduction, or at the beginning of the first body paragraph.

3. You evidence is fine, but general. You should practice how to make your examples detailed, specific, and concrete.
