In my opinion, I agree that knowledge should make us happier
because having knowledge is one of the successes in life. Humans in this day
and age having knowledge can advance in life and be someone of Importance in
society, thus becoming a role model. Being a role model can make someone happy
because you are making an impact on the life of someone. Not having knowledge
can make us very miserable, stress out and not happy.
Knowledge is a tool
that can change and control the world. In the movie The Matrix we see Neo was
offered two pills, Red for Knowledge of the future and Blue for not knowing the
future. Neo accepted the red bill because he wanted to discovered his future
and make an impact in the Matrix. I see President of the USA as a man of
intelligence and with the office he holds he is making an impact and servicing
the people of the USA.
On the other hand we see some people with no knowledge, they
are very ignorant, stupid and most unhappy people. They hinder themselves from achieving the benefits
that knowledge brings. In the article “The Allegory Cave” depicts people in a
cave they cannot see beyond, and are not motivated to move from where they are.
They are lazy, and afraid to make a change. They don’t have the wisdom to get
up and come out of the cave. They are prisoners, and comfortable in the state
that they are in.
In conclusion, I think that people should make the effort to
get knowledge. This involved in change in our mind set, our position how and
how we view life. With this in mind we can experience true happiness knowing that
we have put in the time to gain knowledge, not only for ourselves but also for
someone that we may be able to help along the way.
