The Meatrix:
In the video " The Meatrix" shows how big corporations kill small farms and how these corporations make their own profit.They put animals in confined places so the animals can just eat and gain weight to be sacrifice be faster. Thus,the big cooperation can supply the market, most of these animals live in this horrible condition and start to suffer. What investor do to resolve this problem? They start to inject antibiotics in their system to live their suffering conditions. But later these antibiotics are the antibiotics tat we humans consume when we eat meat, chicken, milk and eggs. In addition, this problem causes environmental damage. All the excrement produce by animals goes to the rivers making damages to small communities and creating diseases to humanity and animals.
The Meatrix: Revolting:
In this video "The Meatrix Revolting" shows how the milk and cheese come from. The big corporations extract the milk from cows processing into machines on unsanitary conditions. The calves are separated from their mother and they suckle from machines. These machines contain little milk but 90% is blood from the other cows that are not even from their own mom. Consequently, the calves would be infected with diseases that other cows already have.With these practices humans are eating and drinking the antibiotics that the cows are injected.
The Meatrix II 1/2:
In this video " The Meatrix II 1/2" shows us how the meat is process in this factories, on dangerous and unhealthy conditions. There are very few precautions that workers have when they process the meat. The only thing these factories care is to be fast enough for the packaging system to increase their monetary profit. These horrible companies do not realize the big damages that causes to our society.
How they feed the animals in the Factory Farms
I remember when I was a child backhome in Colombia, everything was natural with out any chemicals or preservatives. Animal was fed very natural and with a healthy environment. Farms were a synanomym of respect and dignity to animals. You only saw a clean grass with a sunshine backroom.
Watching these three videos on the website www.themeatrix.com and learning the new so called factory farming makes me sad, upset for the way that these factories are killing the animals and the humans by the way they feed the animals. I have two reasons that I disagreee of this type of business. Those are, the antibiotics to prevent diseases around them and the cheap corn and soy diet that only gains them weight on a low cost.
Why is giving to the animals antibiotics is so significant in their health and our health?Animals live in a poor condition, For example in small areas that its impossible to them to walk around or including see the light of the sun. As a result, animals can be contamined between them and spread diseases like the hogs. For instance, the farmers cut their tails a procedurw known as "docking" in the article Animal Feed (paragrah 9 ) to prevent biting. Having that said these antibiotics are in their systems and we eat them we wouldbe getting them as well in our system. I strongly believe the only way to prevent this situation is not buying any products from these companies. I can volunteer to support a campaing to help inform the rest of the world.
Why these farm factories are giving corn and soy cheap diet? Many farmer use this diet so animals can grow faster and gain weight as a result it says in the article Animal Feed(paragrah 2)"and because they are cheaper than other feed options as a result of govertnment subsidies". Given them this diet it damages their digest system and gives them a bacteria colonized with E coli to the cows.What I would do from now on shop at a farmers's market. That way I can promote local and small farmers that are doing the healthy and right thing for the community.
In conclusion, farms are not what many years ago use to be. Now this factory farms are killing animals and killing humans with many diseases by given the m antibiotics and chiep diets. I refuse to eat pork and to buy meat from these farms. I would be coming more aware for me and my families and the communitys health.
